Bringing artisanal heritage and contemporary aesthetics to home interiors

We have collaborated with NINDYAA on a very exclusive collection celebrating Chitrali Shu (hand-woven woollen cloth). Kaitag is an ode to human creativity and artistry handiwork, connecting customers to the makers, celebrating intercultural values. Our collection is rooted in ancient wisdom and practices from a faraway place.

Each product is crafted with
care and have a combination of three elements:
Beauty, Skilled Hands and Sustainability

Decorative Cushions

Our decorative cushions and coasters are handwoven, appliqued and embellished using 100% organic wool, sourced directly from makers in the Hindukush mountains of Pakistan. Decorative motifs are hand embellished using traditional appliqué technique. Each pattern is carefully cut out in Chitrali Shu and embellished by skilled women from a non-profit women's cooperative 'Kho & Kalashi' in Chitral, Pakistan.

Produced using natural colours of the sheep’s fleece in earthy Black, Crème, Oatmeal and walnut coffee, vegetable dyed using walnut husk.

Our Shu is handwoven by families from Garam Chashma by the weavers from the Kho tribe

Made with 100% Organic Kari Wool, an endangered sheep living in a Hindukush region in Chitral valley, North-West Pakistan

Bolster cushions and coaster sets are handspun, handwoven and felted in the hot springs of Garam Chashma, Chitral valley.

The word “Kaitag” is a mystery - It refers to a valley in Daghestan (Caucasus), to the people living there and also to the embroideries hand-crafted by them over the centuries.

The collection was inspired by the enigmatic hieroglyphics and sacred patterns inscribed within Kaitag embroideries. The floral and archaic stylistic elements encapsulate the vitality of life and the myriad decorative forms reflect rejuvenation.
